A dream that saved my life

Dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow’s questions – Edgar Cayce

For Eric Mlilo, the above saying proved true. In a strange, eerie dream he was given solutions to something that was going to happen to him. It happened during an ordinary night just like any other. Not much of a dreamer or one that claims to have dreams that come to pass, Eric had an unusual dream that made him cautious of everything he did from that night onwards.

In December, 2022, I had a dream where baba, Apostle Joy was delivering me from the spirit of death. Though the dream unsettled me, I didn’t think to tell baba about it but I became overly cautious about everything that I did from that day. A few days later the company I work for required me to travel to Bulawayo. It was during the night on my way back home that I was involved in a fatal accident, I collided with a truck.

I broke my arm, gravely.

The car was almost a write off, the whole passenger side was all mangled up. As I lay there in shock, my frozen brain somehow knew to call baba and he picked up. He swiftly organised for me to get assistance from the police. All he said to me was ‘let’s see what God will do.’ As God would have it, I had passed an ambulance on the way and they stopped to offer aid as well. I later found out that the truck driver fled from the scene.

I was taken to Gwanda district hospital but the damage to my arm was too extensive for the personnel there to handle, I needed specialist care. One thing they seemed to agree on was that my arm was too badly damaged.

The damage was so terrible that my arm needed to be amputated!

They transferred me to United Bulawayo Hospital (UBH) and they too contemplated amputation. But somehow they called one senior doctor who discovered in as much as I had lost some bones on my elbow chief of which the ulnar bone; miraculously the ulnar nerve was left intact. This gave the doctors reason not to amputate.

According to Dr.Moyo, (MBChB,MSc Clinical Epidemiology), Eric’s fracture and hurt nerve should have affected sensation and also movement of the hand.

“The ulnar nerve provides sensory function to the inner aspect of the forearm all the way to the skin over the little finger and the inner half of the ring finger. It also provides motor function that is it supplies muscles and gives instructions for movement to most muscles of the hand.  If it gets damaged you lose feeling on skin on the inner forearm up to the inner one and a half fingers. You also lose the ability to control muscles of the hand,” said Dr.Moyo.

It was simply the grace of God because a lot of my elbow bones were broken and lost but that nerve was not cut, there was hope for me. My arm was not amputated but I was operated on and all was done to repair what they could. Baba prophesied to me indicating that my hand would work again. You know it’s not easy for an adult to have his or her bones heal unlike with children. But as per the word of our father the doctors deliberated and found a solution. I stayed in hospital for 47 days and throughout that period baba sent his emissaries to be checking in on me. He continued to speak to me in dreams and would sometimes call – telling me all will be well.

I was in a plaster for 7 months but now I have use of and sensation in my arm, the same arm that should have been amputated.

Most of my bills including the operation were covered by the company, had it not been the case I would not have afforded the bills as it was just too much. I want to thank the God of the house because indeed I can now use my hand though not 100% but I am so very grateful because I should have died but His grace preserved me. The word of the prophet gave me so much hope and it made it easy to go through the entire process.

Through a dream, Eric was surely delivered and set free from the spirit of death!
