At last night’s Love Revolution Service on November 9th, Apostle Joy Museba’s words sparked a fire that would change the game! As the spiritual embers ignited into flames, he declared, “You know the difference between speaking to God and addressing the devil, right? When you pray according to the Bible, you have to say, ‘Our Father whom art in heaven’.” With that, he set the tone for a powerful message, referencing Numbers 22:6, which highlights the power of addressing the enemy with authority.
Apostle Joy’s message was the breath of fresh air needed as congregants realised that they were not made to be stuck in the same rut. “You have to tap into that inner strength, get some holy anger, and resist the devil.” This call to action was about breaking free from generational curses and societal expectations. The prophet Balaam (Numbers 22:6) was cited as an example of the power of spiritual pronouncements. “A person who is cursed has a certificate for failure,” Apostle Joy said. “It is time to break free and declare, ‘I cannot take it anymore!'”
The distinction of submission and spiritual violence was the real tea. Submission is not about being weak; it is about making a deliberate choice to humble yourself before God and resist the enemy. “You are not humbled by God, you are empowered to resist the devil,” Apostle Joy emphasised, adding that anyone seeking deliverance must take a stand against the devil themselves, no holds barred. The story of Esau (Genesis 27:39-40), who sold his birthright for a “bowl of stew”, was a cautionary tale about the consequences of lacking spiritual vigilance.
As the congregation prayed, testimonies of deliverance and healing started flowing like a river! A lady who had suffered from eye problems since 1998 and wore spectacles since 2012, testified that she no longer needed them after being prayed for during the last revolution. Talk about a miracle! This tangible manifestation of faith reinforced the message: God is a God of deliverance, ready to intervene in the lives of His people.
In a final call to action, Apostle Joy prayed for deliverance and breakthrough. “In the name of Jesus, I submit myself under your power,” he prayed. “Use me as a vessel, use me as a showroom for the kingdom of God.” As the service came to a close, the congregation was left with a sense of hope and anticipation, knowing they were part of a movement that could change their lives and their community forever!
