DEFEATING YOUR GIANT

In a powerful display of faith and determination, Pastor Mary Museba rallied the women of New Creation Life Ministries International (NCL) to rise up and defeat the giants in their lives. At the First Women’s All-Night Prayer of 2025, held at the Kwekwe Mining Museum, Pastor Mary declared, “Ancient giants shall fall this morning!” With her signature warmth and authority, she released a wave of faith and hope into the congregation, setting the tone for a spirit-filled night of healing, deliverance, and empowerment. “If you don’t have faith, I have come with mine – so don’t worry,” she assured.

It was truly a night to remember, the First Women’s All-Night Prayer of 2025 for New Creation Life Ministries International (NCL), saw the venue which was transformed into a sacred sanctuary, packed to the brim! It was where the ‘Women of Excellence’ (WOE) gathered to seek God’s presence and power. The atmosphere was highly lit, with the choir’s powerful performance, setting the tone for a spirit-filled night; and not forgetting the “Ndozvinoita Nyasha” hitmaker – Jonah Chivasa who was the guest artist. The congregation was ‘warmed up’ by prayers, worship, and praise songs, and the ‘Women of Excellence’ were expectant, eager to receive from God.

With her message, “Defeating Your Giant,” Pastor Mary dashed straight into the story of ‘David and Goliath’, highlighting the characteristics of giants in our lives. “A giant is an overwhelming situation or challenge,” she explained. “It induces fear, is persistent, and becomes an obstacle between your expectations and reality.”

She emphasized the importance of perception in dealing with giants, referencing Numbers 13 verse 33 (NIV), where the Israelites saw themselves as ‘grasshoppers’ compared to the giants (Nephilim). “But David saw Goliath differently,” Pastor Mary noted. In 1st Samuel 17 verse 26 (NIV), David asked, ‘Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?’

“David’s perception was different from that of the Israelites,” Pastor Mary noted. “While they saw a giant, David saw an opportunity to defeat the enemy and bring glory to God.”

As a mother, she warned not to magnify the devil. “He is under our foot. David was aware of this understanding. He knew that the battle was not his, but the Lord’s.” Pastor Mary prompted the women to pinpoint the personal giants that had been holding them back, whether rooted in crippling fears, relentless struggles, or seemingly immovable obstacles that stood between them and their divine purpose.

With her signature wit, using a powerful metaphor, she likened these giants to a stack of painful reminders: “Heartbreak Paper 2, Heartbreak Paper 3, Heartbreak Paper 4” – each one a fresh wound, a persistent headache that refuses to go away.

But Pastor Mary didn’t just diagnose the problem; she offered a solution. “You need friends like those who guided the paralytic man to Jesus,” she said, referencing Mark 2 verses 1 to 12 (KJV). And when the giant falls, one will be respected, and excel in areas that have been failed before.

“I have come to women who run away from situations,” Pastor Mary declared. “This time, we are grabbing what is ours, taking it from the mouth of the devourer.”

“God moves when you move,” Pastor Mary highlighted. “Just like the pillar of cloud that guided the children of Israel during the day, and the pillar of fire that led them at night (Exodus 13 verses 21 to 22 KJV), the power of God moves when you take steps. It was time for women to arise and claim what’s rightfully theirs.

With her declarations, Pastor Mary released a wave of faith and hope into the congregation. “If there are any women with men who were not being paid for projects, may God come to your rescue this morning,” she prayed. The congregation erupted in cheers and applause, as the women claimed their victory.

As the night drew to a close, Pastor Mary left the women with a final challenge: “Do not laugh at others who are in serious situations. Pray for them.” And with that, the women dispersed, armed with a newfound sense of faith and determination to defeat their giants.

She prayed for congregants throughout the service, and just like the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she delivered those with sicknesses of that nature, those with the spirit of fear, and those in financial freedom was released to those in financial distress, just to name a few. This unforgettable night saw a special visit by Apostle Joy Museba towards dawn, as he graced the arena. He shared a brief yet potent ministration of the Word, before laying hands and declaring victory for all the ladies present, especially in this season of ‘ABSOLUTE VICTORY’.
